is it possible to change the amount of posts on a page to higher than 15? or is it deliberately like that for some reason unknown to a n00b?

there got to be some admin (not neccesarily mod) setting somewhere for page length.
It can stay how it is, it's just that I for one find 15 to be slightly too few posts on a page
